Mission Statement
The Nurses of the River Vale School District are dedicated to promoting optimal physical and emotional health for all students, their families and our community. Through a developmentally responsive approach to students, we promote health and safety including a healthy environment; provide intervention with actual and potential health problems; provide case management services; and through active collaboration with others we seek to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy and learning (NASN, 2010).
We are dedicated to high standards of excellence, professional ethics and personal integrity in all that we do. We believe that every inpidual has the right to be treated with dignity and respect. We maintain students’ rights to privacy and confidentiality. Through our commitment to the practice of school nursing and the River Vale community, our goal is to advance the well-being, academic success and life-long achievement of our students.
